I’m baaaaaack!

Okay…it’s been a while, I know.  It wasn’t you though, honestly.  It was me.

I took some time to recoup from my mothers death.  It was hard, especially when I was done taking care of my dad and all of the affairs, and I could let myself feel.  Of course, as life would have it, there was some additional baggage that came with all of this, but that is a story for another time.

So, here I am, back in the saddle.  However, this time I will be using this to move on instead of using it as an outlet for my pain.  Not to say that there won’t be some pain in here from time to time… no, I’m sure there will be.  It just won’t be the primary focus any longer.

So why am I hBlog Your Book in 30 Daysere, now?  Well, I wasn’t sure I was going to ever come back to be honest.  I’m not the kind of person that likes to blather his personal details all over the web-sphere, and I very much doubt that people want to hear about my life….after all, you’ve all got your own problems and issues to worry about.  However, when I finally made up my mind to do something I’ve been planning on doing for a while, things just fell into place and…well, here I am.

I’m writing a book.  I’m not sure how it will turn out, or if anyone will ever read it.  But, dammit, I am going to write it.  As part of that (and to help myself stay motivated) I have joined a challenge, Blog Your Book in 30 Days.  So here I am…blogging.

I don’t have much to report yet…I just started writing it yesterday.  However, here is a excerpt of yesterdays efforts:

Mark and Megan had known each other since 7th Grade, when their separate elementary schools fed into the same middle school. Mark had always thought she was beautiful and funny, and they had always gotten along despite the fact that her view of him often alternated between weird and lovable. Unfortunately, Darryl had moved into her neighborhood during grade school, and his bad boy image had won her over long before Mark had arrived. As such, Mark was forever destined to be Ducky to her Andie while she pined away for her Blane. John Hughes really did know his shit.

So, there you have it.  Per this challenge, you will be hearing a lot from me over the next 30 days.

My apologies in advance.
